Ms. Arnold earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1986, and is a 1991 graduate of the University of California Hastings College of the Law, where she received the American Jurisprudence Award for excellence in trial advocacy.  Ms. Arnold is proficient in Spanish and French, which earned her a lifetime membership in Alpha Gamma Mu, the National Language Honor Society.  

Ms. Arnold concentrates her work in the Firm’s Business and Construction Transactions, Real Property, and Energy Practice Areas.  Ms. Arnold has substantial experience in real estate development, including drafting and negotiating partnership, finance and construction agreements (including bond financing in construction projects).  She represents parties in the sale of businesses and business assets, as well as corporate formation.  Her experience spans a wide range of industries from technology, industrial and manufacturing, through sales, marketing and service corporations.  As former in-house counsel for a publicly traded defense industry company, Ms. Arnold also participated in drafting annual reports, 10K, 10Q, information statements and other Securities Exchange Commission filings.

 

Ms. Arnold is also familiar with various issues relating to the electric energy market redesign in California and the regional Western Interconnection.  She has participated in designing best business practices for transmission planning, congestion management, price reciprocity, common systems interfacing, and market monitoring.  Ms. Arnold provides advice to public utilities, and has litigated condemnation and other real estate matters on their behalf.
