A 1997 graduate of Loyola Law School, Mr. Gallagher also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.  Mr. Gallagher brings to the Firm his extensive background in defending complex matters, including cost recovery actions under both state and federal Superfund, multi-party Toxic Tort actions, and Drug and Medical Device Litigation.  Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Gallagher honed his legal skills at Gallagher & Gallagher where he represented businesses in a variety of matters, including but not limited to claims involving Labor and Employment, Shareholder Disputes, Proposition 65, Unfair Competition, Breach of Contract, Product Liability, and Regulatory Compliance.  Mr. Gallagher concentrates his work in the Firm’s Environmental, Toxic Tort Defense, Drug and Medical Device Litigation, and General Liability Defense.

Since joining the Firm, Mr. Gallagher has placed particular emphasis on representing public entities in a variety of matters.  Consequently, Mr. Gallagher is intimately familiar with California’s Tort Claims Act, California Government Code §§810, et seq. (“Tort Claims Act”), and the benefits and protections it provides to public entities.  With his aggressive litigation approach and thorough understanding of the Tort Claims Act, Mr. Gallagher has had tremendous success in representing a number of public entities throughout California.

Mr. Gallagher is also well-versed in the numerous compliance, regulatory, and litigation issues facing the healthcare industry.  Due to his personal contacts with a number of top executives in healthcare industry, and the Firm’s relationships with various members of state and local government, Mr. Gallagher is frequently asked to utilize these resources to assist the Firm’s clients in analyzing a variety of healthcare-related issues, including but not limited to Medicare/Medi-Cal billing, reimbursements; provider contract disputes; denial of benefits claims; the application of ERISA; and HIPAA compliance.

Mr. Gallagher’s recent accomplishments include being named a Southern California Rising Star by Los Angeles Magazine in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
